📋 Terms of Service

By accessing or using the ArcNest platform, you agree to comply with our general rules of service. ArcNest provides study helper tools, note workspaces, and AI revision generators to help students organize their academic life.

Users are solely responsible for files and text they upload or share. Shared workspaces (notes, projects, and classmates directory) must be utilized for constructive educational cooperation. Uploading or sharing copyrighted materials or content that violates academic integrity codes is strictly prohibited.

🔒 Privacy Policy & Data Security

At ArcNest, we take your student data privacy seriously. Here is how your uploads and profiles are processed:

• Academic Data: Your notebooks, lecture documents, task schedules, and shared workspaces are protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies within our database. They are only readable by you and classmate emails you explicitly authorize.
• AI processing: ArcNest sends a prompt and any relevant document, note, or Canvas text to the AI provider selected for the requested feature. ArcNest does not send this content to an AI provider unless you deliberately use an AI feature.
• Gemini free-tier processing: ArcNest currently uses an unpaid Gemini API service for the free Canvas AI option. Under Google's terms for unpaid services, Google may use submitted prompts, related content, and generated responses to provide, improve, and develop its products and machine-learning technologies. Human reviewers may process this data. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information to the free Gemini option.
• OpenAI Canvas processing: Plus users may choose OpenAI for Canvas. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless the customer opts in. ArcNest's OpenAI organization has API-call logging enabled for supported calls, so submitted prompts, relevant Canvas text, and generated outputs may be available to authorized ArcNest organization members for review, analysis, and evaluation. OpenAI may also retain abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default.
• AI retention controls: ArcNest requests that OpenAI not store Canvas responses as application state by setting store: false. This setting does not disable organization API-call logging or any provider-controlled safety, abuse-prevention, or legal retention. ArcNest cannot delete provider-controlled copies through account deletion.
• Purchase confirmations: When you continue to subscription checkout, ArcNest records the selected plan, displayed price and renewal terms, policy version, and confirmation time for billing support and dispute records.
• Clearing workspace content: You can delete the content you created without deleting your account. This removes workspace content and stored files, but keeps your profile, subscription, billing records, immutable AI and storage history, and aggregate feature-use counters. Those counters roll into a new period each month for monthly subscriptions and each year for yearly subscriptions; clearing content does not reset them. They are removed if you permanently delete the account.
• Account deletion: Signed-in users can permanently delete their account without manual review after cancelling any active subscription renewal. Deletion is not a subscription cancellation or refund request. ArcNest deletes the account, study files, generated content, support tickets and email threads, classmate and sharing permissions, checkout confirmations, and linked billing and usage records from its database and storage. OpenAI, Google, Lemon Squeezy, Resend, and other providers may retain records they control under their own policies, settings, and legal obligations.
• Third-party Integrations: We do not sell or lease student emails or metadata to advertisement networks or academic essay-selling organizations.

💰Refund & Subscription Policy

Please read these payment terms before upgrading to ArcNest Premium:

Refund reviews may consider immutable AI-generation events and historical storage usage during the exact reviewed period. More than three successful AI generations in a calendar day in ArcNest's app time zone (Asia/Jerusalem), storage above the 100 MB free allowance, or any successful OpenAI Canvas generation using the Plus-only provider option is considered meaningful Premium use. Deleting an output later does not erase its generation event. Cosmetic theme choices are not treated as meaningful Premium use. Meeting the unused-subscription criteria does not guarantee a refund.

Clearing workspace content does not clear usage evidence. ArcNest keeps aggregate per-feature counters for the applicable monthly, yearly, or 30-day access period so removing saved content cannot make prior use appear unused. These counters support a manual review and do not create an automatic refund decision by themselves.

Permanently deleting an account removes the billing and Premium-use evidence stored by ArcNest and does not automatically approve or deny a refund. Submit any refund request before deleting the account and include the Lemon Squeezy order number from the receipt. Lemon Squeezy may still hold its own transaction records under its policies.

You can cancel your active Premium subscription at any time via your account Settings to prevent future recurring charges. After cancellation, you will retain Premium feature access and expanded storage limits until the end of your current billing cycle.

The USD $5.99 30-day Plus pass, plus any tax shown at checkout, is a single payment rather than a subscription. It does not renew and expires automatically 30 days after activation, so there is no future renewal to cancel.

Before submitting, signed-in users can use the refund eligibility checker to see account usage signals that may affect review. To request a charge review, use the ArcNest refund-review form and include the Lemon Squeezy order number from your receipt.

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and may issue refunds or handle chargebacks under its own policies. Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot legally be limited or waived.

💾 Shared Storage Quota Policy

Free accounts are limited to a shared storage budget of 100MB. This budget is shared between uploaded files and the generated active recall items (summaries, quizzes, practice test assets).

If your account is close to or exceeds the quota limits, you must delete some study materials or generated quizzes to free up storage space. Premium accounts receive an expanded shared storage pool.
